Home Sweet Home

Safe arrival home! A 5 hour drive, 3 hour wait, 15 hour flight, 2 hour drive, 2 hour lunch, 4 hour drive = Peace Street, Dorset, Vermont! AAAHHHH!
So happy and grateful to be home safe and sound. Everything seems just BEAUTIFUL here, the gardens, the weather, the people. Andy had the fridge stuffed with all of our favorite foods... chocolate milk, grapes, salad and fresh bread.
Today was spent waking up with the birds, unpacking, doing laundry, going to the pool, eating, grilling, re-aquainting ourselves with our life...our good, amazing, bountiful, blessed life. How fortunate I feel.
Keep posted for an invitation for tea and momos on the deck...soon! Love and blessings to you all who followed. I am sad to end this blog, but I must. Namaste!

Cherry on Top

After arriving at the hotel...aka..Heaven on Earth...we were greeted with cool, jasmine scented towels and watermelon juice. Ok, I WILL live! If only to get into the delicious pool for a moment and get into bed, which I did after having some consomme. Lily enjoyed a hamburger! via room service and so off we went to sleep. Our wake up call came at 5 am for a sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal. Before we left the hotel in a terry cloth padded golf cart driven by a uniformed guard, I had my first REAL cup of coffee since NJ...perfection! Although I still do not feel 100%, I am much better thanks to all of the good energy you are all sending our way.

The Taj was a moving experience...I just thought to myself..wow, this was definately all worth it...for nothing else..this was it..the cherry on top..as I have named the blog today. It was magnificent, magical, monumental and captivating. The pictures do not do it justice. I am grateful that we got this chance to see it.

When we got back to the hotel (heaven) we spent the morning luxuriating over breakfast of eggs, french toast, hot chocolates, croissants and fresh fruit. I am glad I felt well enough to eat! The rest of the morning and part of the afternoon was spent at the pool sipping grape transfusions and iced tea. Lucky. Grateful. Happy. Rested.

Showered and packed, we are heading down to the lobby now to meet our driver to take us to the Delhi airport. JFK or bust, baby!!! Thank you for following! Thank you for the prayers! I will post our safe arrival home. Goodbye, India!! Hello, USA!

Smelly Delhi

We arrived safely in Delhi yesterday afternoon after a very smooth flight over the mountains. Delhi is HOT and we are not psyched to be here...The keys on my computer are hot...so...we are waiting until our wrap up meeting at noon and after that we will load into an air conditioned car for a 4 hour drive to Agra. This would all be better if I wasn't sick. Just when I was saying we have come out of this relatively unscathed...I think I spoke too soon. I spent the night tossing and turning, feeling achey and sick with fever. My only objective today is to get to the hotel and feel better for our long flight home tomorrow night. Thank you for all of your "safe travel prayers"...they are working! Now, will you please add a "feel better" prayer please? Thank you.
